Many customers have enjoyed the bakery items that we bake throughout the week.  We also offer deli meats and cheeses and specialty grocery items.  Bakery offerings include 6 kinds of breads, including Salt Rising Bread, dinner rolls, fruit pies, the best selling peanut butter pie, pumpkin bars and rolls, blackberry jam cake, nut breads, cinnamon rolls, sticky buns, cookies, crème horns and more. Call ahead for special orders. Jam cakes, pumpkin bars, and crème horns are on our shelves all week. Another favorite for some is taking home a frozen unbaked pie for you to bake and serve hot to your guests at your convenience!

The delicatessen features honey-baked hams, turkey breast, Troyer’s Trail Bologna, Pepper Loaf, Pickle Loaf, Lebanon Bologna and a variety of Amish cheeses from Walnut Creek Foods in Holmes County. The varieties currently offered include: Colby, Colby-jack, Mozzarella, Cheddar, Swiss, Farmers, Hot Pepper and American.

We offer our own homemade potato salad and Cole Slaw, Walnut Creek pimento cheese, Walnut Creek bacon, hot dogs, chicken salad, roll butter, jerky, candies, fudge, our own cashew crunch, canned peaches, pickled and hot eggs, baby corn, relishes, ketchup, BBQ sauces, pickled beets, honey, jams, jellies, coffees, and tea.

When our family opened a small bakery alongside our hardwood furniture showroom we plunged into a whirlwind of activity. The breads and pies flew out the door. We racked our brains for a product with shelf life that would help fill our shelves on non-baking days. Judging by the amount of recipe requests we’d had for one of our favorites, we reasoned that granola might be a praiseworthy product, and decided to give it a try. Maybe the granola would allow us to catch our breath between baking days.

The maple flavored, old fashioned oats, slivered almond variety is the majority’s favorite. We dubbed it Tried and True. Another variation on that one is: Tried and True Reduced Sugar. While not a diabetic product, it contains 33% less sugar. A second variety: Triple Treat, boasts walnuts, white chocolate and dried cranberries. We’re dreaming up a few more varieties like: Clear Conscience, Plenty Peanuts, and Little Ones.

All first time customers in our store receive a trial bag of Tried and True. Usually that's a guarantee they'll be back. And if they happen by while we’re toasting it they say they can’t help themselves. We ship out of state as well as wholesale to a number of stores.
